Bio
Todd Meier, PMP®
I worked directly with Mark on the MAPP Online, Pro, and XT projects at Meyer Sound and can attest to his ability to quickly see the big picture and to recognize salient points in new technology. Mark proved himself with every MAPP program release to be a dependable developer and a hard worker with solid problem solving and technical skills. I was always impressed by Mark’s ability to complete the activities assigned to him for each development sprint. Mark not only met deadlines but also explained his ideas and decisions in a way that non-technical experts could easily understand. Mark was effective at managing risks and was critical in team sprint planning meeting being aware and expressing alternatives. He also had a unique ability navigate the needs and communications of people across many domains other than software engineering. I could always count on Mark to communicate complex issues in an understandable way about critical elements with respect to UI structure, dependencies and tradeoffs within the development environment. Mark is an excellent communicator. When we worked on the various MAPP programs, Mark provided sufficient detail and could gauge the level of effort and duration it would take to implement a given feature. Mark takes his work very seriously and regularly enrolled in conferences and training to improve his skills. His ongoing professional development helped him to easily learn new techniques and perform complex tasks sometimes as soon as the next development sprint that followed. Although Mark is a fast-learner, he is very careful and cautious about his work. That means he repeatedly ran checks on his programs before making them public to ensure there weren't any issues or blockers. His quick thinking and cautious personality has helped the company countless times since he started in 1999. Mark was a pleasure to work with and I feel he would be an excellent asset to any company.

Architected and implemented a desktop app "container" with mini-apps running inside the main app, using JavaFX and CSS, emulating and extending the behavior of the company's existing mobile apps, with heavy customization of behavior and look-and-feel. These got deleted from my profile by the LinkedIn engine because the companies are defunct, but the details are on my resume. I helped CAD Lab Inc (now known as Think3D) transition from 2D modeling to 3D modeling for their Industrial CAD application (also transitioning them from C to C++) and both led and developed an IGES and PDES based CAD translator for their product in conjunction with a special proprietary CAD format for Toyota's CAELLUM division. After that, I was VP of Engineering and the primary software architect and developer for Attivo Software, doing tight integration of Agent-based Collborative Engineering and Markup for AutoCAD and Autodesk Architectural Desktop.
