Tech lead IT Spec currently employed by the Office of the State Comptroller. Responsible for Enterprise UNIX servers, primarily supporting AIX and PowerVM on Power series hardware. Performing research, development, integration and management of new hardware and software including: LDAP, Samba, various web servers, DNS among other packages. I've Implemented server administration automation including developing custom software and integration of packages such as ganglia, nagios and NIM. I received management experience from performing as project lead in many server projects including, Implementation of OSC first multi-tier networked server infrastructure, Server Consolidation by migrating standalone servers into the virtual environment, while providing server support for various application projects such as data warehouse and web sphere portal implementation. I have a lot of exposure to various SAN networks used for servicing disk, and networker data backups and restores. Presently upgrade all our hardware to Power7+ and AIX7 while implementing many features included in the AIX Enterprise Edition, such as PowerSC, system director as well as the Tivoli Monitoring tools. I was a representative to meet with other states to advertise our product, get them to sign on to use it, then work in any necessary custom application changes they needed to meet their needs.
