I was general manager at Asimptote during its startup phase, next to my responsibilities for VORtech. My main focus at Asimptote was on growing the business and managing the relations with customers and partners. Once the company was on solid ground, I handed it over to its current director that could give the company his full commitment to grow it further.   During this post-doc period I did research on data-assimilation. I helped to develop a very efficient parallel implementation of a RRSQRT Kalman filter for a shallow water model.
