Madison House Autism Foundation focuses on the lifespan needs of adults with autism. One of our key programs is the Autism Housing Network that brings together planners, developers, and families who are looking for housing for autistic adults. We also have a 400-acre farm in Dickerson, Md., that provides therapeutic riding, job readiness training, and agricultural education. We have expanded our individual and corporate donations, doubling our end-of-year revenue and lowering costs. I am creating a new program for veterans and their families, especially for veterans with brain injuries and post-traumatic stress. We partner with several organizations to help move our mission forward. Show less

Yellow Ribbon Fund is a nonprofit organization that assists injured service members and their families. We recognized the needs of the wounded and their families and implemented creative and strategic programs for them. Over the years, we expanded the programs to go beyond the hospital gates and addressed issues for those reintegrating into civilian life. Annual revenue increased from $1 million to $2.6 million, with more than $15 million being raised during my time as executive director. We also quadrupled our donors and quintupled our volunteers. Fundraising records were set in each of my last seven years. YRF was often recognized for its strong and efficient operations, and received many awards and accolades for its work. We were twice recognized by the Catalogue for Philanthropy as one of the best small charities in the Washington, D.C., region. Show less

CCA represented accredited for-profit colleges and universities. As a vice president, I oversaw membership, communications and development. We enjoyed tremendous growth during my time there - institutional membership increased by 48%, allied (vendor) membership increased by 127%, and I created a new membership category for allied members that raised more than $300,000 a year by year 3. I took over our magazine, redesigned it, and increased revenues from $93k to $200k in less than three years. Show less

CAI represents homeowner associations, management companies, and companies that do business with them. I oversaw nearly 60 existing and developing chapters, and established stronger relationships with the chapter leaders, both staff and volunteers. I provided strategic planning for the chapters and helped them to become more self-sufficient. I created a program for lapsed members that netted 250 members and $50k in revenue in two months. I also developed a four-member customer service staff into a cohesive unit and increased customer service contacts by 40%. Show less
