Designed and implemented an Intranet based Sales Order processing system. • Utilising ASP/Vbscript/XML/XSL and SQL2000. • Designed XML Web service to allow orders to be raised via external Partner WEB Sites, implemented in .NET, with COM+ and with SOAP Toolkit. • SQL 2000 backend utilising XML Stored Procedures for order creation and inquiry • Designed XSD schema for XML validation of orders and products for external partners to validate their XML orders (.NET) • Designed, managed and implemented PAF (AFD Postcode Software) enhancements for this and existing systems. • Integrated with Credit Card system for real-time telephone order processing. Designed and implemented various infrastructure products: • SQL to Text File functions to create extract files direct from SQL. • Numerous SQL 2000 DTS packages to Import/Export data into various Sales Databases. • BCP Imports via SQL. • Exchange Mail COM+ object, in VB6, to receive orders via e-mail and to automatically process via SQL server. • FTP COM+ object, in VB6, to Get and Put order files for automatic processing via SQL server. • Transfer mechanism between notes and SQL 2000. • Linked Databases etc to allow heterogeneous joins between SQL 6.5 and SQL 2000 Databases. • An interface between Notes Based Sales Order Processing system and Accounting System (Dynamics). • An Interface between SQL and Sockets in VB6 to interface to a Credit Card System. It has bespoke Visual Basic 5 front end and a SQL 6.5 back end. Technical Lead providing training and mentoring for the other members of staff who were traditionally mainframe programmers on client-server techniques and products. Also, provided technical and design support for other projects on Visual Basic, Notes & SQL Products. SPRING RAD Development of Compliance monitoring tracking system. Solely designed and built MS Access 97 database, utilising VBA to provide a tracking system for Compliance issues of Natwest Life's pension selling. MISWIP Management Information System Work In Progress reporting tool, which feeds from Cormorant and consists of a VB front-end, which initiates Crystal Reports/SQL Stored Procedures SQL backend. Involved in design of SQL backend and initial development product selection. ABC (Activity Based Costing System) Solely designed and built front end in Visual Basic 3 for a two-tier solution, backend utilised SQL server 6 stored procedures.
