Team Leader and Maritime Operations and Tactics InstructorOperating as a Team leader, responsible for the effective manning and operation of the UK Maritime Air Operations Centre (Deployed) during multi-national exercises and National Operations delivering effective briefing, flight following, and de-briefing of UK and International maritime air crews. In addition, I have also created and delivered introductory Maritime Ops (MOPs) lectures to new and ab-initio personnel which have been well received and will be rolled out across RAF Lossiemouth in due course. I recently completed six Post Graduate School (PGS) training packages for 54 Sqn Poseidon Course Design Team (CDT) which are currently being used at NAS Jacksonville for training UK P8-A crews. These table-top exercises will be used by the frontline crews to attain Combat Ready status in preparation for IOC. My current project, leading a small team, is to create ab-initio MOPs lessons for 54 Sqn CDT to mitigate inexperience aircrew failing the US Conversion course. These Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) compliant lessons, will form the backbone of the UK Operational Conversion Unit (OCU) when it is established in 2021. This work has recently led to being recognised in the the New Years Honours List with an AOC 1 Gp Commendation for support to the P-8A training system.
