Restructuring and Corporate Rescue Professional
-
Jan 2000 - Present
Bringing together a breadth of management skills and over 10 years experience in rescuing and restructuring businesses in distress in Poland. I act either as an independent consultant or as interim board member taking generally CEO, CFO or Sales Director roles for owners of companies close to or already in default with creditors. Actively involved in personal development of senior executives through offering coaching, facilitation of developmental work groups and as a qualified trainer for the UK-based Recess College and Leadership Insight organisations. Additionally active in working for the Polish private equity and venture capital industries identifying investment cases and providing assessment and other consulting services relating to portfolio businesses. When working with CEOs and shareholders of companies in difficulties I will generally be involved in handling creditors directly whilst working out what needs to be fixed in the company itself and finding routes forward that protect as much value as possible for stakeholders whilst allowing further investment in the company to become attractive. Biomed Lublin
-
Warsaw - Lublin
-
Chief Restructuring Officer
-
Feb 2016 - Sep 2016
Hired by the supervisory board of Biomed Lublin, a Warsaw stock market listed pharmaceutical company based in Lublin, to fine tune the court restructuring plan and convince the company's Creditors to support the plan whilst at the same time providing leadership for the company during this uncertain period. Achieved over 90% of positive votes in all creditor groups. Took additional board responsibility for domestic and international sales as well as for the blood derivative division. Biomed was one of the first companies in Poland to apply for protection under the new Polish restructuring law (sort of chapter 11 equivalent) in January 2016 following the company's failed attempt to build a national plasma fractioning business which left the company with over 100 mln PLN of debts on annual sales of 40 mln PLN at the end of 2015.
