Set Medic 2 months Utilizing my Advanced Life Saving certification and my years of experience I took a position as a Set Medic on movie sets. I worked for First Trimester Productions on "Once upon a Christmas" as the sole Set Medic, caring for 51 crew and cast. I also worked on NB Thriller Productions "Daddy's Perfect Little Girl" as part of a team of Set Medics who were also responsible for maintaining COVID protocols and set sterilization. As a Set Medic you treat a variety of injuries from very minor cuts and scrapes to heat stroke and major trauma. We also advised the director and stunt director on safety protocols and safe practices to keep cast and crew safe. Often i would be standing just off camera with an extinguisher or medical bag in case the stunt went wrong. Environment: Mostly exterior production sites that have all the outdoor dangers you'd expect, like heat, weather, insects, and plant allergy's. Interior set's had to be monitored to ensure COVID protocols were in place so that a small number of people could work in an interior location.
