As part of my role I was involved in creating and designing underfloor heating systems. AutoCAD software is used to design the underfloor pipe layouts. My role also required me to provide quotes for heating systems to customers and installers in both the domestic and commercial sector. Worked at Warenpoint Harbour Authority undertaking tasks such as preparing materials to be hoisted by cranes and preparing the interior of ships for extraction of cargo. This gave me experience of working as part of a team, 4 people were assigned to work on each boat. The harbour can be a dangerous place to work due to the amount of heavy machinery operating on site, therefore I had to remain focused whilst working which exemplifies my concentration levels. Responsible for training of new work colleagues and ensuring the business operated at a high standard when other senior members of staff were not available. Ensure advertising and promotion of stock and stock control is correct to ensure optimal profit. Cash Control, it was vital to ensure that the correct amount of money was placed in each workers' till. Tills also had to be counted and balanced at the end of each shift. This job involved interacting with hundreds of different members of the public from day to day, this increased my confidence and helped me develop skills which can later be used in networking situations.
