Delivery Transformation Manager
-
Jul 2017 - Jun 2018
This role was an agile delivery leadership role. As the Delivery Transformation Manager I reported into the General Manager of Transformation. My initial focus was to contribute to the design of Bankest’s Technology Transformation business case to re-architect Bankwest’s technology Landscape, with the business case being completed within a 6 week period using agile techniques. Upon completion of this assignment I was tasked with designing Bankwest’s enterprise delivery model bringing together agile, lean and design thinking known as Bankwest Blaze. This underpinned how value would be determined and delivered in Bankwest’s new operating model which leverages Spotify’s highly successful model utilising Tribes, Platforms, Chapters and Squads. . I successfully led two transformation squads to mobilise, stand-up, implement & embed Bankwest’s 5 Tribes, 10 Platforms & 13 Chapters and then reoriented the squads quickly to start focusing on embedding and maturing Bankwest Blaze while bringing in learnings and improving both the Blaze Delivery and the overall Operating Model. Research & Design Manager (Customer Transformation)
-
Dec 2016 - Jul 2017
This role was an Agile Delivery Leadership role which operationalised an aspect of the delivery operating model I implemented in my previous role. It focused solely on establishing the Discovery Track within the Customer Transformation Program embedding Customer Experience Design into the Agile process. This role brought together Product Ownership, Customer Experience Design & Business Analysis to work together with Architects & Tech Leads to undertake a Business Value, Technical Feasibility & Customer Desirability assessment of the Program Deliverable's required the 6 delivery teams located across Australia. The Discovery Track is an Agile concept I have introduced to Bankwest. After running successful Discovery Phases for two key initiatives within the Customer Transformation Program I was appointed the Discovery Track Lead across the Program. The two Discovery Phases supported two very successful Agile Inceptions allowing the delivery teams to commence coding post the inception with minimal working assumption and completing the work on time. The success of the Discovery Track has already been scaled to enable an Agile Program Inception consisting of 90 people which will allow for the 6 delivery teams to incept the next 9 key Program Deliverable's.
