Working in an Express store situated in the center of Manchester City, My job role is to ensure that the customers can receive what they need most. Managing a team of up to 1 people at one time, I use a number of skills including communication, Motivation and leading by example to get the best out of other members of staff quickly in a busy working environment. Mainly working early mornings, It is my responsibility to take deliveries, Ensure that the shop has the products needed for the customers whilst also communicating with others store management teams and the Area managers so in the case of any problems arising, I can quickly resolve them to ensure the store continues to trade. Using store systems as well as Windows and Microsoft Outlook, I make my colleagues jobs as easy as possible whilst also keeping it a fun place to work. I am also trained in payroll for the staff, ensuring that any overtime has been noted, responding to correspondence regarding maternity leave, promotions within the business or ensuring that people who have left the business are filed on the system the correct way. Working in an inbound call center, It was my job to communicate with customers of British Gas to ensure that they were getting the service needed if problems arise, doing anything from taking payments, dealing with meter problems to more extreme cases such as gas leaks and power cuts. I dealt with the problems the right way to ensure that British Gas was always considered to be helpful and easy for its customers and kept to the policy of getting the situation fixed first time. The job also involved up selling during the phone call so tailoring the customers needs and uses to other products that British Gas offered once again ensuring that they were always happy with the level of service they received.
