      At 930 units and approximately 4,500 members, Bonnet Shores Beach Club, located in Narragansett, RI, is one of the largest condominium developments in the Eastern United States. The 28-acre property with 1,700 feet of waterfront has been a summer destination for owners and members prior to 1938. The General Manager (GM) is hired by the Board of Directors, reports to the President, and is responsible for carrying out the Board’s policies. The GM is held accountable for all areas of club management including financial and personnel. This position is the Board’s bridge to the staff and enables the Board to avoid the short-term focus on operations and allows the Board to work more exclusively on long-term development and to focus on club governance. The Beach Club season runs from the weekend prior to Memorial Day to the last Sunday in September with a staff of over 200 people. In addition to the beach, amenities include live entertainment every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, a full-service restaurant, breakfast cafe, grille, gift shop, 85,000-gallon pool, multiple outdoor bars and recently renovated athletic courts for tennis, pickleball and volleyball. In the off-season, a year-round facilities staff winterizes all of the buildings on the property in the Fall, works on Board-designated construction projects in the Winter and prepares the Club and beach in the Spring for the next season.
