I am pleased to return to Robinson Bradshaw to resume my career in private practice. I look forward to returning to an active litigation practice and providing advice to clients in the areas of antitrust, corporate governance and complex commercial matters. I also look forward to building on my higher education experience as I re-engage in private practice. I am grateful for the opportunity that Chancellor Folt and the Board of Trustees provided to me at UNC-Chapel Hill, and I am particularly grateful to my wonderful colleagues in the Office of University Counsel for the past 28 months. I served as General Counsel to a leading global research university. In that role, I worked with the University's leadership and an outstanding staff to address the myriad of legal issues that faces a large, public research university with a global presence. I have been actively involved in the University's enterprise risk management and compliance efforts in many phases of its operations. I joined Robinson Bradshaw in the fall of 1983, became a shareholder in the firm in 1989 and practiced law there until September 2016. I worked to help businesses and individuals solve difficult and complex problems. My practice focused on complex civil litigation and antitrust litigation and counseling. I represented numerous clients in responding to government investigations, both civil and criminal, in the areas of antirust, securities and healthcare. I served on the firm's Board of Directors on a number of occasions and as the Chair of the Litigation Department. I had the honor of working with an accomplished group of lawyers at Robinson Bradshaw who bring extraordinary experience and expertise to hear on behalf of our clients. Show less
