  Was the primary contact and "go to" person for the Enhanced Grain II system developed in house. Oversaw the use and handled issues with the system for the entire region headquartered in Chicago, basically the locations in the eastern third of the US. Recieved North American Grain Division "Merchandiser of the Year" award 1998, for the person who created the most value for the company, due to computer applications written by me and the support I provided all of the users for the system in general. Did both online ( ADS/O ) and batch development ( Cobol/Easytrieve Plus ) on the system in addition to other developers, using IDMS. Configured IBM 3274 control units at remote locations, and in the Chicago office. Worked with IBM support with printer issues. Developed applications in the Oracle database using PL/SQL, Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports. Managed the Computer room and personel, and other personel as well. Show less
