Jan Arnold

I worked often with Mark in my role as a local YMCA Center Executive and as the Vice President of Programs and Membership at the association level. Mark knew the donor community and Y programs well and, in addition to working well with donors, was able to assess what programs could best advance the Y’s service mission. He played a leadership role in our earning a $1 million Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant for the Y’s Active for Life program that enabled us to improve the life quality of older adults. He is hard-working, a pleasure to work with, and most importantly he makes sure that the donor’s intent and program plans are fulfilled. It is without hesitation that I recommend Mark. I worked with Mark for almost eight years in various roles at the YMCA of Metro Chicago; he reported to me directly for over a year in my position as the Executive Vice President of Development and Marketing. I have never worked with a person who was more talented, conscientious, hard working and dedicated than Mark. He has a tremendous amount of knowledge about development and a great network, particularly in the Chicago-area. Mark is a very colaborative team player and has a wonderful personality. He is a self-starter who sets a very high bar for himself and others. Any organization would be very fortunate to have a person of his caliber on their team. I would hire him in a second.
