This experience really allowed me to come into my own and separate the anxiety from teaching. I had the wonderful opportunity to become certified as a MCAT physics instructor. The process required me to pass a qualification exam with 80% or better under a timed environment, then going to Tennessee for a weekend to teach in front of a master trainer and a group of peers. This process required a lot of practice and preparation before I felt comfortable teaching in front of an audience, especially my peers.I taught subjects such as photoelectric effect, Bernoulli effect, continuity, etc.I enjoy learning interesting and complex topics because I feel that my teaching can transcend into my audience. The Princeton Review provided me with a rich environment for growth and learning. This experience required me to practice a great deal under a high stress environment. I had to be evaluated under an audience of my peers wether or not I was fit to instruct students for the Princeton Review. I had to learn a great deal of techniques and information to present for 30-40 min in a single session. I was prompted to thrive amongst others trying to achieve a similar award or certification for performance and engagement. My teacher evaluations are documented with the company and could be provided upon request from either myself or the Princeton Review administration. Show less

      • Aug 2016 - May 2017

During my time as a arterial researcher, I would observe and obtain data from human subjects, such as intimate media thickness, blood flow velocity, height, weight, maximum voluntary contraction administered with a hand grip device, hemoglobin/myoglobin oxygen saturation levels, along with various diastolic and systolic blood pressure readings from different points in the body. I would also have to use a tonometer to obtain measurable values of heart rate variability from different arteries in the human body such as the carotid, femoral, popliteal, and brachial. The project that I assisted also needed to obtain values from resistance training such as maximum contraction from a leg press. Show less

As a organic researcher, I had the opportunity to investigate unique topics that ranged from the analysis and observation of specific drug therapy chelators to the unique fluorescence of energy deficient pie conjugated systems with in metal organic frameworks. During my time as a researcher, I was engaged in multiple projects, one of which was published in the Journal of Materials Chemistry C 2016. My main task under the project was to, through a series of trail an error, assemble a electroactive metal organic framework through the process of solvothermal synthesis. A metal organic framework is a essentially a cation within a macromolecule that forms a unique sort of three dimensional frame. Show less
