  I am currently working at the award winning James Griffin Pub, Trim Co. Meath. I started this job following completion of the Leaving Certificate in July 2016 in order to support myself in college and to buy a car. I joined as floor staff picking up glasses. By sticking with the job and working hard gained more responsibility and I progressed to bar stocker and to bartender within a year. I have been working weekends since I started in July 2016. I've worked two nights a weekend since then. During breaks from university at Christmas and summer I would take on more hours, sometimes taking on up to four nights a week while sometimes volunteering to help out setting up the bar in the mornings.   I received the opportunity to intern here through the voluntary placement program at Maynooth University. Working on the planning, building and launching of Kildare Village's membership program weekly emails. I originally started as a marketing intern, working on the Kildare Village website (www.kildarevillage.com) and social media channels. Through this role I got the opportunity to work with some of the world's leading brands including Nike, Armani, Mulberry and more. I also gained an appreciation for he importance of brand identity and personality even when being represented outside of their own owned communication channels. The Bicester Village Shopping Collection is pioneering a new retail experience, redefining outlet shopping both for the world’s leading brands and for the discerning global shopper.
