Aug 2016 - Oct 2016
Responsible for the 'day to day' supervision of the small team within the facility carrying out reactive and proactive maintenance on a wide range of electrical / electronic controlled hydraulic and pneumatic equipment such as platforms, conveyor belts, pulley systems and hoists. Including general maintenance such as installing switches changing light fittings and other operational tasks as they occurred. Also responsible for mentoring and supervising the mechanical apprentice on a daily basis. Unfortunately due to factors out of the local managements control, an extensive part of the factory containing the packaging and distribution part of the facility closed with and the position Lead Maintenance Engineer was deemed no longer viable. In this task I also carried out subsequent testing and liaising with the engineering manager to 'refine' the ROV operating parameters, carrying out modifications to the system as required and providing regular updates, both verbal and written to the third party representatives and the SubAtlantic general manager. At the end of the project this culminated with the Factory Acceptance Testing, (F.A.T), and 'hand over' to the offshore operating company. Show less
