  To support the business implementation of the new IT system Sonata by being the Lead Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Trading and Settlement capabilty stream. This role involves understanding how Sonata operates for all aspects of dealing, including integration with the in-house Exchange Dealing system and external systems such as EMX and CREST, to identify the gaps within the currently functionality that would stop Ascentric being able to carry out its trading functionality on Sonata.The role also involves documenting the processes for the new system, defect/bug management and testing.as well as testing and that providing the and making sure that the solutions are acceptable from the Business aspect.

  I worked within the dealing team at Ascentric as a dealer, placing both exchange and non exchange trades. This role has given me a wider knowledge of non exchange dealing. I predominately dealt with funds, to a much greater depth than my previous role. I have also had chance to learn more about complex investments such as Structured Products and Cash Deposits giving me a more rounded view to dealing. The role also allowed me to learn about trading through the external fund messaging systems (EMX and Calastone).The role also included collating and analysing the commission analysis for platform dealing and the Best Execution data
