As PBS Coordinator for APLNG Mark provided myself and the PBS Observation Team with ongoing training, coaching and mentoring. During regular training sessions, Mark supplied valuable guidance in the skills needed for effective behavioural based safety observations and the influencing techniques needed for delivering feedback, addressing unsafe behaviours and re-enforcing safe behaviours. In my experience of these sessions, Mark allowed those mentored to develop their own skill sets through a style of learning that suited them, I in particular found Marks training very valuable.

In my current role as HSE Lead OSBL Australian Pacific LNG Plant construction I have had the privlage working with Mark who was employed by the construction company, Bechtel, as the People Based Safety Coordinator. In that time Mark has proven to be extremely dedicate, knowledgeable and professional in his chosen field of work. Mark, through being innovative in his ideals to develop the PBS/HPI observers and in creating a healthy and active PBS/HPI program has taken a mediocre PBS program and developed it into an exciting and sustainable PBS/HPI program based on owership by the PBS Team Members. Mark continues to be a proactive advocate for effective and engaging workplace behavioural safety. Accordingly it is with pleasure that I highly recommend Mark Kutzer, particularly regarding People Based Safety and Human Performance Improvement (PBS/HPI).
