Mark is moving to a planned semi work life at the end of December 2018 after nearly 23 years at AHG and the PAA. He will still be involved in the industry by securing a part time consultant role to the Australian Automotive Dealers Association AADA. His passion is the industry and he feels the time is right to give back to the industry that has given him so much. He will also assist organisations with "how can I do it better?" what ever better is in the Automotive Industry; as he has many years and many opportunities to perform and learn form the best in the business. Marks background is as follows: As a professional, Mark is a leader, motivator coach and trainer of people and culture. His mantra has always been win/win. Mark Has been a Mr Fix It Dealer Principal on almost 30 occasions. When AHG had an issue with a poor performing or morale challenged dealership, Mark would be posted there for a period of time with a view to "righting the ship" They would then appoint a permanent DP and Mark would vacate. AHG was an average performer in used vehicles. When Mark was on one of the DP assignments, he developed a formula to sell more used vehicles at significantly higher profit margins. The company then formed a division and Mark was chosen to head this division. Some 8 years later, this division has flourished and AHG is seen by Deloitte's as a dominant used vehicle market leader. Mark still uses that same formula today. AHG WA has, since Mark took on the role 10 years ago, sold somewhere close to 130,000 used vehicles for a gross around $300 million dollars. Other significant achievements in Mark's time at AHG have been initiating many of the training and development programs that still remain in place today. Programs such as Dealer Principal Training. These courses were designed specifically to emulate how "AHG" runs its businesses. This "was" Mark's brain child as he always believed in preparing people for roles rather than "training in arrears"
