Bio

I have known Mark since 2002 when we served together as border enforcement investigators. Mark is an exceptional investigator who is well known throughout policing circles as one of the most proficient drug interdiction officers in not only Canada but the US as well. Mark is an individual who possesses an uncanny ability to ferret out criminality and was characterized as one of the most tenacious investigators on the team. Mark’s knowledge of the illegal conveyance of narcotics is second to none. I specifically recall Mark working on one case where his tenacity and dedicated analysis of limited information resulted in Mark surfacing a number of suspects who were eventually linked to one of the largest singular cross border cocaine seizures in Alberta history. Mark is an individual who possesses a number of diverse skills. Mark is a strong communicator and is the type of individual who fosters partnerships regardless of the setting he is immersed in. He is energetic, articulate and a great presenter who is not only knowledgeable but entertaining when conveying ideas to his audience. Mark is an intelligent and progressive manager and understands how to get results from his team. He is a strategic thinker and situates the team within the larger context of corporate goals and objectives. It is because of this that he is able to make good on corporate deliverables and ensure success on both the team and corporate level. Mark is very committed to the community and his dedication to duty as a police officer never faltered. Even to this day Mark is very involved in youth leadership development through the local army cadet corps and is soon to become a member of the Cadet Instructor Cadre. He is a fine example of what the Canadian Armed Forces exemplify in a leader and community role model for our youth. I consider myself having been fortunate to work with Mark and will always remember Mark as an upstanding member of the RCMP and a fine all round example of professionalism; an individual committed to service and the betterment of his community.

I have had the sincere pleasure of knowing Mark for many years now. Mark was one of my RCMP National Pipeline/Convoy Instructors and one of Canada's finest Interdiction Officers, responsible for seizures totalling millions of dollars worth of contraband from Alberta Highways. I have watched Mark in his seamless transition from the RCMP to his current position and I continue to be impressed. Mark delivers a passionate commitment for whatever role he serves. His work ethic and professionalism continues to impress me. Thanks Mark!
