Experience

    • Territory Service Manager
      • Apr 1990 - Present

Joined Ryko in 1990 as a technician and was sent to LA (Louisiana) to facilitate the transition from a distributor territory to a direct market. I moved to Baton Rouge and became a Supervisor in just two years. After five years I was asked to move to Michigan and create a direct service market. In 2005 Ryko went to a distributor service network and I worked for RW Mercer from 2005 to 2010 as the service manager. All of my service techs made the move with me to Mercer and we thrived as a distributor. When hired by RW Mercer, I was given a letter that stated this was the first time in their 40 year history they had ever presented a job offer to someone they had never met. After one year I was told by Marty Mercer this was the smoothest acquisition they had ever made and she attributed this to all of it to my efforts. Eventually Ryko wanted to be factory direct again and my techs and I all made the transition back to Ryko. After my return, Ryko decided to try something new and combined Michigan with Indiana. After one year, both areas were running more profitable than any other Ryko territory(s) in the nation. The combining of the two states was such a success, Ryko tried it in other parts of the country. At this point Ohio had had several mangers after Ray Spiller (original manager of Ohio market) and were not doing well. I handed Indiana to Keith Garner (Chicago area service manager and one of Ryko's best employees) and I was given Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia. I continued my role as service manager for Michigan and was eventually given Western Pennsylvania too. I strive to be as efficient as possible and treat all my techs with the respect they deserve. My efforts have always payed off as my direct service territories have always been the most profitable in the country since I have been manager and even more importantly, I have very little employee turnover. I am a well spoken, passionate person who thrives on giving exceptional customer service. Show less
