  BUILDING OFFICIAL, CITY OF DESOTO, TX Implemented the use of the computer system using I-Worq computer system which includes permits, monthly reports, and IVR system (where contractors call in on their phones or computers) for inspections and/or results and allows the use of the contractors to pull permits online. Implement and develop an electronic plan review, where contractors can submit their plans for online review. City entirely depended upon third party for all plan reviews and inspections. I hired a plan reviewer and two inspectors and we do all plan reviews and inspections within the department. This has been a tremendous saving to the city $750,000.
