Retired Doctor. Running holiday let business with wife. Hill walking leader.
-
Mar 2021 - Present
On 31st March I retired as clinical director to Forward Leeds Drugs & Alcohol Services and emigrated to beautiful Langholm, Scotland with wife Leila and Henry the dog. I have developed a set of entirely new set of competences starting up a holiday letting business in April 2022 and taming an acre of associated woodland - with trees up to 100ft high. On a daily basis Henry and I have been walking/fell-running the plethora of local trails/hill-climbs - and covered over 2000 miles our first year here. We hope to promote local hill-walking as part of our holiday letting business and I have been acting as voluntary hill guide for Langholm Initiative, an area I hope to develop further. I have written pieces promoting the Langholm Walks for Country Walking Magazine, which I hope to see being published in later summer/autumn 2022.
