I have consistently and creatively produced marketing and communications strategies and media campaigns for the Carbon War Room since the organization was co-founded by Sir Richard. I blended the needs of the founders, the partners and the campaigns to land some great impacts and was never afraid to challenge orthodox ways to get results. I designed and implemented the communications and marketing strategy and infrastructure, leveraging our spokespeople through the media, and managing the development and implementation of campaigns. I also co-built the Carbon War Room’s NGO business model. Within the first four years, the organization made significant, tangible achievements in helping the global maritime shipping industry reduce its emissions. The Carbon War Room won ‘NGO of the Year’ 2014 and ‘Project of the Year’ 2016. Highlights • Devised, managed and executed international media campaign to launch Ten Island Challenge with Sir Richard Branson, garnering 1.5 billion impressions, including NYT, AP, Guardian and Die Welt. • Devised, managed an executed global media campaign to launch eco-labeling shipping industry, garnering over 75 million impressions within 48 hour period through major publications: Economist, New York Times, Guardian, FT, Le Monde, Spiegel, Sky News, Al Jazeera, ABC and top tier media in over 15 countries • Developed the marketing strategy, including websites, magazines, and collateral materials across multiple programs promoting business approach to climate and clean technology entrepreneurs • Designed, coordinated and executed workshop events: ‘Creating Climate Wealth’ international conference series (USA, UK, Germany, Singapore, Caribbean) as well as Gigaton Awards for business (Cancun, Durban), New York Climate Week BusinessClimate 2010 Show less

As Communications Officer, I was a news editor on pan-European communications of EU member states’ on climate performance as well as efforts in biodiversity, water, forestry and coastal preservation. At the European Environment Agency, I helped garner media related to Kyoto Protocol and European Union’s Emissions Trading Scheme. The experience provide me with invaluable insight into the policy world of both the European Commission and the United Nations Framework on Climate Change. Most importantly, I saw the limitation of policy alone trying to tackle climate change. This spurred me to switch over to the private sector and a new continent. Highlights •Ran EEA website news on pan-European climate, water, ozone, air pollution, biodiversity, land use and coastal issues publications and research •Wrote for and helped launch key annual reports on the EU’s performance on Kyoto and 5-year European State of the Environment report as well as water, biodiversity, spatial development and pollution •Communicated up-to-the-minute energy and environment findings and EEA news Show less
