      Wisconsin Hoofer Sailing Club of the Wisconsin Union of the UW MadisonVolunteer sailing instructor teaching sailing and seamanship on 26-30 ft. keelboats. Lessons are on-the-water and comprised of 4-6 people ranging from absolute beginners to intermediate skill levels. Also, conduct ASA 101 Test-Outs as one of the club's certified ASA instructor. During the off-season, design and present 1 or 2 lectures on topics of interest to club members.

      Worked with members, staff and 3rd-parties to care for the Heavy Keelboat fleet including planing for lift-in/lift-out; facilitating work parties both during and out of the sailing season; and managing the fleet budget.Lead a group to clarify and improve the Keelboat Rating Sheets, processes and standards. Worked to improve stewardship of club boats by refreshing the maintenance program and outlining a “Bosun” system. Created a set of shared documents for recording boat specific information and procedures.Ushered through a transition from the club’s IOR design racing boat to Tartan T-10’s. Represented the Heavy Keelboats and participated on the Board of Captains.Volunteered for the first Safety Committee to address safety concerns and provide document- ed standards embodied in the sailing club’s Safety Manual.
