    • HGV Moffet Driver
      • Mar 2020 - Present

My main duties are to drive an HGV Class 2 vehicle with a Moffett forklift truck and deliver insulation products to both private and business customers all over the North of England. I have to check the vehicles for defects before loading my own vehicle, securing my load and planning the safest and most time efficient route. I also have to phone customers and advise them of what time I will be arriving and to get information from them to help me plan where best to park. When I arrive on site, I complete a dynamic risk assessment to work out where is best to safely unload using my Moffett and where I can securely leave the products. I always find the best compromise between what the customer wants, and what is safe. This can sometimes cause an already stressed customer to vent their frustrations at me, but I always stay calm and do everything I can to meet the customers’ expectations while doing it safely. My job was to drive a HGV Class 2 and/or 7.5 tonne vehicle in a safe manner to both private and business customers and deliver a wide variety of white goods. I also have to phone customers and advise them of what time I will be arriving and get information from them to help me plan where best to park my vehicle and enter the premises. Once I have installed their product without damaging any of their property, I demonstrate how to use it in a way that each customer can understand. Key Accomplishments: • I have received a number of excellent customer survey scores • I have had no failed deliveries • I am a consistent top performer in the Safe and Green Driver Leader Board • I have quickly become a favoured driver by the drivers mates Show less
