As the Business Director of EMC was responsible for overseeing the development of the Ezulwini Mining Company (EMC) business plan as well driving its implementation. Ezulwini Mine is a deep level mine with an associated processing plant, both of which handled between 50 000 and 100 000 tonnes and produced between 125 and 175kgs of gold a month. In my time as Business Director of EMC, I also spearheaded the development and implementation of a wide ranging business transformation effort aimed at turning the performance of the company. The programme included a number of workstreams that addressed a multitude of operational and systematic issues within the business to varying degrees of success. These workstreams were underpinned by a comprehensive change management and communication effort, which together were designed to understand and change the culture of EMC and in doing so, create a platform for future success. The mine’s General Manager reported directly to me and I reported directly to the CEO of First Uranium. Show less
