I had the pleasure to work with Mark for the past few years as his credit insurance broker, helping him manage his credit exposures. Working with Mark as an external partner is extremely easy as you always know where you stand with him - he’s a straight shooter and he expects nothing less from you. Mark is extremely knowledgeable about all things credit risk and treasury matters and is keen and willing to share his knowledge with others around him. He’s colleagues often praised him for that and for pushing them onwards and upwards. I have personally learned a lot from Mark and I’m sure I have a lot more to learn in the coming years.

I had the good fortune to work with Mark at Total for six months before he returned to the UK. Having worked with several Credit managers over the years, I have to say he is one of the most technically adept managers I’ve seen. His years of experience and knowledge are evident, but he is still grounded and more than willing to share his knowledge to his team. He has strong negotiation ability and maintains a clear idea of what he expects from his team while remaining extremely supportive and creating a good working environment. Any company would be lucky to have him in a management role. I wish him all the best and hope our paths cross at IECA events in future.
