      Mark is the Territorial Commander and shares the denominational leadership with his wife Julie for The Salvation Army in New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga and Samoa.. The Salvation Army is a Christian movement committed to caring for people, transforming lives and reforming society by God's power.. Mark is also Chair of the Governance Board of The Salvation Army's work across all branches of work in New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga and Samoa. Mark was the previous Executive Sponsor for a number of transformation projects in bringing the two territories of The Salvation Army of Australia together (namely, The Australia Eastern Territory and The Australia Southern Territory) to form one organisation, The Salvation Army of Australia, which was effective 1 December 2018. Mark has over 30 years’ experience with The Salvation Army, after being commissioned as an Officer in January 1986.
