  Some might say language instruction is about teaching verbs and nouns. Well, not exactly. My work entails widening horizons, building positive learning habits, and integrating English into students' lives in a memorable and useful way. And oftentimes it goes beyond even that, into the psychological, holistic, and spiritual realms. I work hard to impart the value of slow daily improvement to my students, and challenge them to allow that inner improvement to resonate within society.   I teach the building blocks of music to children ages 1-6. Most of my work draws from Edwin Gordon's Music Learning Theory, but I also draw a lot from Orff and my own personal history working in the theatre. I make sure that each class plan contains a large variety of rhythm and tonality, with a lot of original material.
