Mark was an outstanding member of the team who worked diligently to deliver highly technical software projects which fulfilled the specification and were delivered on time. He has a wide range of knowledge and is able to pick up new technologies very quickly, which allows him to use the most relevant technology to create a solution to any given problem. Always rising to any challenge presented to him, Mark was a valuable employee, great colleage, and I would look forward to working with him again in the future.

Start up Android Applications and Games studio. Existing apps can be found at https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=socwl&hl=en_GB So far I have developed a few small apps, mainly for self education. This has aided me with work required for my full time job and KMS Components, but I eventually plan to use these skills to develop more sophisticated apps in the near future. • Knowledge Transfer Partnership Graduate

Before my full time employment at Comtec, I completed a KTP Graduate scheme which involved transferring the knowledge learned from 2 academic supervisors at Cardiff University (Dr Jianhua Shoa and Dr Omer Rana) to the business partner, Comtec. This involved designing and implementing a Data analysis tool that could be used internally to determine the user patterns on Travel websites. By loading IIS web logs into a SQL database and using SQL Analysis services and Data Mining technology, this tool could monitor common paths users would take in their web sessions. As well as implementing this tool, the KTP graduate scheme also involved attending NVQ Management courses, writing papers to be submitted for Data mining conferences and presenting all findings and ideas to the Comtec board of directors on a quarterly basis. This was completed in July 2007, with a KTP Associate qualification being awarded. Due to the success of this, and the skills demonstrated throughout my 2 years at Comtec, I was offered a Senior Developer position in the Gateway team. Show less
