With a strong background in flood risk management, Mark helped communities recover from floods and protect them from future flooding through both structural and non-structural measures. Mark's broad range of project experience includes wetland and stream restorations, sanitary sewerage, waterfront developments, and recreation in addition to his flood risk management projects. Mark served as USACE, Mississippi Valley Division (MVD) Account Manager and as the USACE, Kansas City District Account Manager. In this role Mark was responsible for business development for new contracts and to maximize usage of existing IDIQ's, preparation of proposals for IDIQ's and task orders, setting revenue goals for each District, preparation of a business plan for the Division, and coordination with District Account Managers for execution of the plan. Mark also served as a Validation Specialist for FEMA as a contractor with NISTAC, providing assistance for recovery from Hurricane Irma in Florida from January 2018 thru July 2019. As a Validation Specialist Mark prepared grants under the Public Assistance program to help public entities recover from the hurricane. In the 1.5 year assignment Mark completed 91 projects totaling over $130 Million.
