      Working in this post to offer mechanical engineering support, working on projects to provide engineering solutions to scientific challenges. Our research groups cover a wide range of disciplines which include atmospheric chemistry, renewable technologies, medical and neuroimaging to name a few. I am involved in the design, development and construction of bespoke equipment for teaching and research in the department and I am responsible for individual projects. I have full access to a suite of engineering machine tools, CNC and manual mills, lathes and grinders and machine components using a variety of materials ranging from stainless steel, aluminium, bronze, nickel alloys, plastics and ceramics.
