After many years of being a patient with Dr. Levinstone and right after my husband/best friend of 35 years passed; Dr. L decided he needed to move in another direction with his practice and brought Dr. Bourget into the office. He was so excited, and said,"Jo you are going to love her" she will also handle "female problems". He really was excited. I actually thought "oh heck no!" not after all him and I had been thru together over 20 plus years with my sick husband. But as I thought about it, I realized that he and I had been together and thru so much we were friends now, and had broke the Dr. / patient boundries. He really couldn't be My doctor any more. So with his high recommendation of Dr. B (Mariya) and of course, it was still his practice I made an appointment. It took me a minute to get her; and her a minute to get my wit/sarcasm; and not too serious about life side; but now, she is my forever doctor!! She really listens, makes suggestions, listens to your own ideas, and together you come up with a decision for your best care. I'm a hard sell. But honestly, and with all my heart I recommend her. She is good. And she is current, and she researches, and she gets back to you on your tests. She is highly updated in the latest medical findings, but listens to you on what you think your body is saying. I like that. I'm so glad she is with me now, as I begin to have some issues of my own, and she is there to just understand how hard it must be to loose a husband of so many years, thru such an incredible journey of care-giving and love. She is the best, and I know I can reach for the phone and she will talk to me and get me treated. Quickly. We have now realized I face some possible serious surgery ahead of me; and she is keeping everything on track and being my advocate. She is making sure we are checking everything, keeping appointments, and seeing the specialists I need to see. I highly recommend her!!!!! Jo
