Since 1st of January 2013 I have been working as an Assistant Professor in the Group of Optical Characterization of Micro and Nanobjects (ON 2.7). I perform research in the field of nanophotonics and plasmonics. The goal of my work is to characterize the optical properties of nanoparticle aggregates and plasmonic structures. I investigate the aggregation process in microdroplets of various suspensions. The goal of my Ph.D. thesis was to develop electromagnetic models and experimental methods to characterize the morphology of nanoparticles and their aggregates. The two privileged experimental approaches were used: the light extinction and the static light scattering techniques. All these models and experimental developments have been tested and used to investigate dust growth rate in low-pressure argon-silane discharges, the morphology of soot produced by ethylene flames and the formation of buckyball-like aggregates produced with a spray drying method.
