Partner with and coach school leaders in different regions of the United States to strengthen instruction and leadership as well as increase student achievement. Job duties include the following:1. Serve as an instructional leadership coach for district and school leaders, inspiring and motivating teams, supporting school-wide change management, and building expertise in standards-based and data-driven instruction and teacher development. Such development includes facilitating the lesson study process, whole and small group professional development trainings, and individual coaching.2. Develop school leaders and teachers on effective use of real-time data from interim assessments to target student misunderstandings, to improve teacher practice, and to continually deepen understanding of the appropriate state standards, including Common Core Standards. 3. Train and coach school leaders and teachers on effective backwards planning using state standards, complex texts, and curricula to achieve student mastery of grade-level content. Common programs have included Core Knowledge, Wonders, Journeys, Eureka Math, SpringBoard, iReady, Achieve 3000, USA TestPrep, Reading Plus, IXL, Science Fusion, Elevate, and Inside. 4. Analyze student data and use research-based practices to inform an individualized strategy for coaching and supporting each school.5. Collaborate with district and school leaders to develop professional development training plans including the lesson study process, intervention processes and procedures, assessment design and practices, lesson design, and the use of data to design, enhance, and remediate instruction.6.
