Marisa line managed me for 3 years in two different roles and we worked on a number of projects together, such as setting up a new delivery team. I was new into my role at the time, but with her wealth of experience this challenge was easily overcome. I really valued Marisa’s authentic leadership style and how much she invested in me and my development. I felt incredibly valued in her team and trusted to work with autonomy, whilst being provided with great mentoring, advice and coaching. This enabled me to develop a broad range of skills and excel in my role, becoming a confident leader with my own individual style. One thing that always shines through with Marisa is her relentless drive to deliver absolute quality and ensure the best possible customer experience. This was also clear in the vision she set out and made possible through clear objectives and team plans, with quality customer experience underpinning and driving our work.

Marisa is a very efficient and supportive team member. She was a pleasure to work with each day, and someone I always knew I could rely on to support me. As a line manager, Marisa gives her team the space to grow and find their own working styles, whilst carefully ensuring the key outcomes of the team are met. She carefully tracks data and uses it as a tool to support her innovative ideas. Marisa is not afraid to challenge the norms when appropriate, if she can see a more effective way to achieve the task goals. As a leader, Marisa supports her team to work together to set a clear vision. She supported me to understand my own leadership style, and gave me opportunities to step-up to leadership. She always effectively manage her busy and broad workload, whilst making time for individual team members. She has a lot of experience to draw from in recruitment, facilitation, and team leadership. As a colleague, Marisa often goes above and beyond to ensure the best outcome for all. She is effective at holding to account when necessary, and is able to do this because of the strong relationships she has fostered. She builds relationships internally with staff through her approachability and externally with key stakeholders through her detailed knowledge of education programmes. Marisa is always a reliable and innovative colleague and would make a fabulous addition to any future team.
