As a commercial Tender Executive, I played a key role within the sales function of Northgate by working closely with the Bid Manager and wider business to support the production of quality and timely tender responses for both local and national opportunities. My role provided crucial support in maximising the profitable growth potential through robust and professional tender proposals. I have a thorough understanding of the tender process, from opportunity identification and contract notice to award for both private and public sector. Responsibilities: • Support the UK Bids and Tendering Manager and sales personnel effectively on a day-to-day basis • Fully qualifying and forecasting opportunities via tender alerts systems • Supporting and ownership of the tender process from start to finish, including completing Supplier Appraisal Questionnaires, Expressions of Interest, Pre-Qualification Questionnaires and Invitations to Tender • Liaising with all internal departments to ensure the tailoring of responses to both the clients’ needs and in line with agreed internal service levels and policies • Responsibility for bid response process for UK tendering opportunities (full cycle from identification, qualification to award) • Completing full bid packs for every strategic opportunity which include the logging of all actions, decisions and non-standard requirements to ensure sound and consistent auditable commercial practices • Liaising with existing and potential clients to facilitate the tender process through the clarification questions and answers process • Developing, managing and updating the Bids & Tenders Library and MS Dynamics CRM system • Management of all tender portals and accreditation systems to ensure compliance with customers’ demands • Coordination of annual external quality audits • General public sector and bid process knowledge to provide advice and support to the Regional, National and Fleet Management Sales teams Show less
