      I work with intellectual, academic and other health impaired students at a large semi-private high school. I have almost a decade of experience working with students with learning disabilities and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) at the secondary level. I have also successfully taken 24 credits through UNH-Durham with hope of acquiring the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) certification.In my current role as a Special Education Coordinator, I am responsible for maintaining compliance and confidentiality across five school districts. I am also responsible for conducting and reviewing academic evaluations, conducting classroom observations and file reviewing to determine eligibility for accommodations and services through Special Education. I provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities as well as assist in college and career transition planning, create five year plans with students, register for appropriate courses based on academic skill sets, coordinate Extended Learning Opportunities and internships based on career interest.
