This role was made redundant due to 3PL conversion. Reduced transportation cost within three states, Vic, SA and WA for the first 6 months of this financial year: • Victoria metro reduced freight charger's by 18%, saving approximately $7,637.50 per month • South Australian line-haul reduced by 10%, approximately saving $11,040 per month. • Western Australia reduced by 22% approximately saving $9,620 per month. • Western Australia - 4 retail stores reduced by 20% approximately saving $12,420 per month. ii) Introduction to Safety Week within the DC network. Victoria Work Safe runs a Safety Week campaign each year and I had the opportunity to introduce to The Reject Shop DC this year. After a successful campaign, the entire DC network will launch their own next year. The retail stores operations were able to view our campaign closely and are able to promote the campaign next year throughout the retail stores with some changes. iii) Increased productivity Inbound and Outbound. Contributor to the re-designed pick flow in their flow thru area and having the team leaders more accountable, we were able to increase productivity. Increased the inbound flow per day to reduce the number of days intake, from 5 to 3.5 days, we had broken intake records in the last six months and has become the “best year” the DC has ever had. iv) Introduced regular morning team tool box talk at the start of shift. Providing updates and feedback. This enabled the business to promote openness to the team members. Overall, was a contributor to a $1.2m saving for the first half of this financial year. Show less
