Created the Deeper Learning Training Center (DLTC) in 2016, with over 200 visitors seeing our schools in action over the past several years. Through the DLTC, established an alternative revenue stream for our schools as we have begun charging visitors a fee to visit our schools and see K-12 Project Based Learning in action. Through the DLTC, we created and charged for over four professional development conferences with teachers, administrators, and students teaching students and educators from other districts. 100% student graduation rate for the classes of 2012, 2015, 2016 100% success rate in passing levies Passed a 7.4 mill new emergency tax levy during the recession in November, 2012 with 64% of the vote Successfully reduced the annual budget by 9% without significantly increasing class sizes Middle School named Ohio Middle School “Team of the Year” for 2016-17 Named on Newsweek’s “Best High School” list for first time ever in 2013 and four of last five years (2013-2017). Number one or two rated school district in entire Miami Valley all four years. Yellow Springs Schools invited into the prestigious ILN (Innovative Learning Network) in 2014. Worked with legislators to construct and pass legislation that allows ILN (Innovative Learning Network) districts to apply for waivers from assessment, evaluation, and report card requirements.
