The role of a peer mentor allows me work with first year students alongside the instructor of the class. The class ACS101 is designed for all first year students as an introduction of tips and strategies that help to navigate one's first semester of college. I'm energized by the opportunity to work with my peers and be a resource to them at such an important and special milestone in life! I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to intern with Rochester's chapter of the American Culinary Federation. I primarily assisted the team with various marketing and communications needs. This afforded me the ability to strengthen my skills of organization, communication, and problem solving. Throughout my role I wrote copy for events, managed information for the team, assessed social media status, developed specific goals in this area, and assisted with functions of the newsletter. Interning with WeAre1 Chicago was a memorable opportunity. This internship served to hold many unique learning outcomes. Having been remote-style, there was a slight time difference between Chicago and Buffalo, NY where I was working from. This truly pushed me to gain a greater a sense of time management and deadline adherence. Thorough communication was also an essential for success. In my role as an intern I worked with a team of individuals in the area of content marketing and creation. I exercised my skills within the Adobe Creative Cloud, as well as gained a working knowledge of tools like Creator Studio, Hootsuite, and Airtable.-I truly enjoyed my time with WeAre1 Chicago and the inspiring women I worked under.

At Brady Corporation I've gained real-life experience with both B2B and B2C styles of work. I am responsible for handling time-sensitive workloads as well communicating between multiple channels of colleagues. With this comes a standard of organization, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines. I’ve learned to independently seek out solutions as well as decipher when to ask for guidance. Experience with SAP, Excel, Google Workspace.
