The Demand Team acts as the link between production and markets/customers. The team is the only department globally within Diageo that has Global insights in stocks of finished products, sales forecast as well as shipment forecast. As a result this department is heavily involved in decision-making around production, shipments, stocks etc.- Core responsibility is to ensure shipment forecast and inventory in the markets the most cost effective production and delivery schedule is being created, based on sales forecast..- To generate, coordinate and supply weekly and monthly volume commits overviews to production facilities worldwide (including comments from markets/customers) concerning expected shipments. This in order to keep all departments at all time up to speed with market conditions, risks and opportunities.- Analysis of various ad-hoc issues with regards to demand and supply. Identify and resolve bottlenecks in current processes and draw up any reports linked to these situations.- Participate and lead project groups in order to implement new brands / brand extensions and redesigned brands in business structure and production processes.Key successes• Despite the economic crisis, by frequent and consistent communication ensured that all Scottish production sites had constant and clear insight in expected production and shipment volumes• Built and maintained excellent relationships with people on various levels within wide range of production sites, Amsterdam office and in the markets• Lead weekly and monthly meetings between Customer Operations Amsterdam and the Scottish production sites• By being first point of contact of one of the production sites, ensured efficient production planning resulting in optimal customer service• Led the Demand Team op operational level in the absence of team leader Show less
