The practical course in Landscape planning, done in two stages: design and built. Students from more than 10 countries (Europe, Asia, U.S.A.) design together with Japanese local community and implement results in practice - gardens, small architectural objects. This multi-cultural perspective explains why the class is called Cross-Cultural Design Collaboration (CCDC). This Landscape Design Studio at Chiba University is supervised by prof. Isami Kinoshita and Ryosuke Shimoda. I worked as a teaching assistant for this class in 2017, 2018, 2019 years. All three years the class is held in the Iwase Neighborhood area in Matsudo, where I am working as a community coordinator with my partner. As a TA I was coordinating the CCDC workshop from A to Z, including the one-week program, agreement with landowners, daily facilitation of student work in the field, international students etc. Show less
