As an Global Studies undergraduate student, I am pursuing a career in the field of human development. More specifically I am pursuing in working with children and families who have experienced trauma. My role at Twin Cedars allows me to gain hands-on experience with those affected by sexual abuse, physical abuse, and witness to violent crimes. The insight of how a multidisciplinary team conducts their work allows me to understand the multifaceted approach of a complex issue such as abuse. I created content for the Alabama Extension Publications Lab and Just in Time Parenting programs. Throughout my program, I worked on a parenting publication called "Infant Crying" which is to be published after the final rounds of expert review are completed. This position required me to attend weekly team meetings where we underwent peer-review and expert review sessions.
