Project 1: Chinese Social Credit System Conducted extensive archival research on the Chinese Social Credit System from all online Chinese newspaper databases by identifying, collecting, and analyzing articles from reputable sources such as People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, and China Daily, ensuring comprehensive coverage and relevant information for the project Classified, encoded and conducted qualitative analysis for more than 50 news reports and policy documents related to the Chinese Social Credit System using MAXQDA, including creating a codebook to identify common themes and patterns, analyzing the sources to identify trends and insights, and providing recommendations based on the findings, ensuring the analysis was accurate, reliable, and insightful Project 2: Chinese Health Code for Covid-19 Assisted with the design of interview questions and utilized best practices in question design, such as open-ended questions and probing techniques, to gather rich and detailed information from the participants, ensuring that the questions were clear, unbiased and relevant to the research objectives Recruited 50 Chinese health code users as interviewees and conducted 15 in-depth interviews through WeChat by utilizing advanced social media techniques to reach out to potential participants, creating compelling messages and using appropriate follow-up questions to probe further, ensuring a diverse range of perspectives and insights for the project Show less
