The experience gained Shieling Laboratories has been extremely insightful. During my time at Shieling's I worked as a Marketing advisor which allowed me to accompany the director on a client management trip to Beijing and Shenzhen, China. The client management trip was intensive both before, during and after and I am still involved with the company and their client base in China. I created a promotional powerpoint which directly targeted Chinese companies and introduced them to the benefits of manufacturing within NZ. I also oversaw the creation of a promotional video which highlighted the services offered at Shieling Laboratories. During the trip we attended trade shows on behalf of our client, proofed future product plans, and oversaw operations in both NZ and China. The Chinese clients visit NZ regularly and I am still involved in maintaining the client relationship between their company and Shielings.

I interned at Hoola Foods which was a start- up food company specialising in chilled foods. They offered a unique and interesting product which was made up of three SKU's. I enjoyed working for a smaller company and the insights gained into the food sector have been inspiring, and is an industry I wish to continue working in. My roles with this company included online marketing, client management, direct sales to both supermarkets and the end user, as well as general marketing and administrative roles.
