I was first point of contact for all new medical negligence claims within the department. I dealt with various aspects of the claim including funding with CFA, Legal Aid and Legal Expenses insurance. I obtained medical records and prepared files to be passed to solicitors. To be successful within the role you had to focus on client care and being able to connect with the client at some of their difficult times.
